Tortorici's family has a long tradition of law scholars in Sicily. However, the "Tortorici law firm" was founded in 1945 when Michele Tortorici (1911-1982), come back  to Sicily at the end of World War II and started the legal profession.

Michele Tortorici was succeeded by his son Filippo, the current study coordinator, who, thanks to his scientific activity, has launched the Firm in an international dimension that is very crucial in  today's world.
The Law firm has expanded in Madrid and Barcelona for the contribution of Michele Tortorici junior at the firm.

The Law Firm is made by a team of young professionals and is able to provide for worldwide legal assistance, even if the legal assistance at the present is more focused on legal controversies based in Europe and South America.
